First, narrow it down
Wipe a small visible area dry and look where fresh syrup reappears. Is it at the bag connector, underneath the cardboard box, or along a hose?
What you're seeing
| Symptom | Possible cause | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| Under one wet carton | Punctured bag | Remove and replace the damaged BIB. |
| At bag connector | Poor seal or damaged fitment | Reseat once, inspect fitting. |
| At pump or tubing | Line or pump fitting leak | Take the line out of service and call. |
What to check
Check the fitting on the affected carton
An incomplete click-in connection or syrup dried in the coupling can prevent the seal from closing. Release and reseat it normally. Do not force mismatched couplers.
Look for a punctured inner bag
Wet cardboard at the bottom or a steady drip away from the connector can mean the flexible syrup bag split. Put the damaged box in a spill-safe container and replace it.
Follow the visible inlet line
Check for a kinked tube, a cracked plastic connector, a hose pulled tight by a heavy carton, or a damp pump inlet.
Clean the affected area
Syrup on the floor becomes slippery and attracts pests. Use the site’s spill-cleanup and food-area sanitation procedure; keep syrup away from electrical connections.
Test the replacement at low demand
After changing the carton or properly reseating the fitting, dispense a small amount and watch for fresh liquid around the connection. If it still leaks, stop using that syrup line.
Why it happens
A BIB connection can fail outward and leak syrup, or inward and suck air, which can also make its pump run continuously.
Need service?
Call if the leak is at the pump, inside inaccessible equipment, or remains after the carton and coupling are checked.
